Nothing makes me more excited about fall than dusting off my over the knee boots. If you've yet to get a pair, go get some now! What are you waiting for? There are so many ways you can wear them, but my personal favorite is with dresses; short or long.
If you have yet to get a pair, here's what you need know before you pull the trigger.
1. Not all boots are created equal when it comes to OTKNB. Construction matters! You want flexibility around the knee so that you can walk easily, but no so much the the boot will stretch out. You want a boot that will hold up, and that requires good craftsmanship.
2. If you want them for dresses and skirts, Go for a fitted pair like the ones I am wearing here. If you go with a something that is a little too big around your calf or thigh, it's gonna look messy and not to mention they will slide down. You will spend the entire time tugging at you boot.
3. If you want a pair to wear with jeans, I would recommend something leather or a heavy suede with a little more room. Stuart Weitzman is the leader in this category hands down.
For me, I decided to invest in this trend because I wanted longevity out of my boots. The three over the boots I have, I have had for 3+ years and I don't see the need to replace them yet. I am on the hunt for a black pair similar to these I am wearing, but I'm having a hard time finding them. If you see a pair let me know!
