By this point in the season, you’re in the full swing of holiday parties and working out what to wear. Because its also the season of overspending on Christmas gifts, I headed to my closet for a bit of dress up because I was determined to find something I already have rather than splurge on an “extra” outfit.

I love this style shorts. They are flattering on most every body type. I’ve worn these green shorts in Spring, Summer and Fall - but when you change it up with a bit styling they can totally be holiday festive too!

One of the easiest ways to bundle up for a holiday party is with tights. This pair is probably more sheer than I prefer, but like I said, I wanted to wear what I had. Plus I love tights because they don’t make you choose between wearing a dress / skirt and staying warm if you live in colder climate.

I added my simple black long-sleeved turtle neck for a classic black foundation of the look. Slipped on my black booties that have a small detail of leopard and festive hassle earrings for a touch of over-the-top glam. Grabbed my fancy black Tory Burch clutch (thank you Marisela for the hand-me-down!) and Boom I’m holiday party ready. This is great outfit inspiration for your work holiday part too - stylist yet sophisticated.

I may not self-identify as the super trendiest but you'd better believe that I take every opportunity to get dolled up for the holiday parties.
